Description
===========

Test ``eof`` (end-of-file) to determine if the cursor is positioned at the last 
record in an item dataset. If eof returns ``true``, the cursor is unequivocally on 
the last row in the dataset. eof returns ``true`` when an application:

* Opens an empty dataset.
* Calls an item's :doc:`last <m_last>` method.
* Call an item's :doc:`next <m_next>` method, and the method fails (because the 
  cursor is already on the last row in the dataset).

eof returns false in all other cases.

.. note::
    If both eof and :doc:`bof <m_bof>` return ``true``, the item dataset is empty.
